Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of octanetech.org and the Octane fleet fuel intelligence platform (collectively, the "Service") operated by Octane LLC ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a fleet operator organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under the laws of your country of residence.
The Service is designed for commercial fleet operators who use vehicle telematics to monitor fuel consumption, detect siphoning events, and plan refill schedules. These Terms reflect the commercial nature of that relationship.
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of octanetech.org (the "Service") operated by Octane LLC (Building B12, Smart Village, KM 28 Cairo-Alexandria Road, Giza 12577, Egypt). By using the Service you accept these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under the laws of your country of residence.
2. Use of the Service
- You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction or have parental consent.
- You agree not to use the Service unlawfully, to interfere with its operation, or to attempt unauthorised access.
- You may not scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy the Service except as permitted by mandatory law.
- Fleet operators are responsible for ensuring that vehicle personnel whose telemetry data is processed through the platform have been informed of that processing in accordance with applicable employment and privacy law.
- You agree not to submit false or manipulated telemetry data to the Service.
3. Intellectual Property
The Service is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by international intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose of fleet fuel monitoring, theft detection, cost forecasting, and refill scheduling. All anomaly detection algorithms, forecasting models, and dashboard interfaces are proprietary to the Company.
4. Fleet Data and User Content
You are responsible for any telemetry data, account information, and other content you submit to the Service. You grant us a limited licence to use, store, and process that content to provide the Service, including to run the anomaly detection pipeline and generate cost forecasts and refill schedules on your fleet's behalf. We do not claim ownership of your vehicle telemetry data. You remain responsible for ensuring you have the right to transmit the telemetry data you submit, including any applicable consent from drivers or personnel.
5. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory consumer warranties applicable in your country of residence are not affected. Octane's anomaly detection and forecasting outputs are designed to assist fleet decision-making; fleet operators retain responsibility for operational decisions made on the basis of those outputs.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service will not exceed USD 100, except for liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right, including any claim by a driver or fleet employee relating to data transmitted without required consent.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Egypt.
Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Giza, Egypt, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update these Terms. Material changes are posted with a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after material changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
